St. John Parish Applefest
40th Anniversary - September 13-16, 2012
Our Applefest is fast approaching. All Volunteers are receiving extra coaching.
You can sense the excitement that’s in the air from all who will attend the happy affair.
Apples are being bought for the pies to be made. To anyone who is interested, we can use your aid.
The beautiful prize car proudly stands on display. In order to win, you might have to pray.
Many more prizes are awaiting a winner and you might also enjoy a tasty chicken dinner.
Fr. Harvey’s famous chili is another yearly event and to purchase this is money well spent.
Apple Pies will fill the air with a delicious aroma. These bakers certainly deserve a well-earned diploma.
We hope all will come, both young and old, to have a great time and stay in the fold.

The Happy Apple
Welcome to the Happy Apple Pie Tent!
This year we have pies, slices of pie, vanilla ice crea, apple crisp and caramel apples!
Take home a whole, fresh-baked apple pie for only $8.00, with your choice of either Pastry-top or Crumb-top. The pies are baked fresh the week of Applefest (volunteers pick the apples right off the trees only a week before, so these are some FRESH pies!)
Pieces of Pie are another favorite, at $2.50. They can be warmed up to eat on the spot!
Don't forget the Vanilla Ice Cream, either! For $1.00 add some "a-la-mode" to that tasty piece of apple pie.
Caramel Apples are available individually packaged for $2.50. They make a great "on the way home" item, so be sure to stop by the Happy Apple before you leave the festival.
