Applefest is Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year!

Welcome to the Applefest Orchard!  This website is the community portal for all those wonderful people who volunteer and help make Applefest a fun-filled, family-oriented event every year.  As you know, Applefest has been happening for a long time now (40 years in 2012), and it is an action-filled 4 days.

But there's a lot more to it than just the 4 days of Padre's Chili, the Midway and rides, or even the evening Entertainment.  Oh yes! Did you know it takes over one thousand (1,000) volunteers to host Applefest each year?  It's true, and the fact that you're here, reading this very web page, suggests that you might be one of them.

If so, thanks!  It's your efforts that have helped countless people through the outreach programs and ministries offered by St. John the Evangelist parish.

If you haven't had the chance to volunteer at Applefest, well, you're in the right place!  Click the Register button up there and sign up for an account.  You'll get an email in a few minutes that will have a link back here, and that will complete your registration.  Once that's done, you can start signing up for just about any Applefest group that interests you.  

You might be surprised at just how many different groups of people (we usually call them 'events') it takes to put on the Applefest.  Whether you sign up for just one group, or many, you'll find an opportunity to put your talents to good use.
